Following our first chess openings book "The really simple 1.e4 - A complete White repertoire" we happily offer to the chess community the Taimanov-Korchnoi Attack for White.Consistent to our opening approach we aim to surprise our opponents, lure them to unknown territories familiar to us and finally get out of the opening positions where they find themselves with permanent weaknesses. The Taimanov-Korchnoi Attack is an out of fashion old line in which the Black King very often lacks a pawn shield, whilst the typical blocked King's Indian Defence centre is not blocked at all! Those two factors significantly increase the accuracy level required by Black in these types of positions and make White's play much easier. A perfect surprise weapon!

1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.e5 Bf5 4.Nc3 e6 5.g4The Van der Wiel Attack in the Advance Variation of the Caro Kann Defence is a quite aggressive system.if you like sharp tactical play based on calculating rather than on strategic plans then this is the opening for you.Almost every game in the Van der Wiel Attack is a body-to-body fight between the two armies. There is no manoeuvring in the traditional sense as there are no concrete positional targets in most of the sharp lines arising in this variation. Therefore I consider it a perfect opening choice for those players who like positions rich in tactical possibilities and aim to put pressure to their opponents right from the opening. White grabs space on the kingside early on aiming to use this space for a crushing attack and if Black is not prepared or caught by surprise, things can turn out very hard for him. It's no coincidence that the Van der Wiel Attack has been played by almost all the top chess players of the chess world in the last five decades! Players such as Korchnoi, Sax, Van der Wiel, Timman, Kamsky, Kasparov, Ljubojevic, Svidler, Khalifman, Morozevich, Topalov, Anand, Grischuk, Nakamura, Lagno, Kosteniuk, Krush and even the current World Champion Magnus Carlsen. Apart from this book the Van der Wiel Attack is offered on my website (https: //www.dimitrisfarmakis.com/chess-studies) in a chess-study format so you can explore this opening with the help of an interactive chess board online or after downloading the pgn file of the whole study.

The French Defence (1.e4 e6) is an old strategic opening regarded as a counter-attacking opening, played by those players who want to play for a win with the Black pieces. Black avoids the symmetry from the very first move and allows White to grab space in the center claiming that he will be able to undermine that center later in the game. In this book you will find the simplest yet quite effective way of playing the French Defence. It contains variations based on the solid central pawn chain f7-e6-d5 and the quick exchange of the "bad" light-square bishop. Therefore you don't have to memorise long complicated variations and I'm pretty sure you will love the French Defence.
