- A Novel of Ancient Greece and Troy

Famous in legend as the husband of Helen of Troy, Menelaus, King of Sparta, is ironically the most mysterious player in the Trojan War. Raised under the brutality of his father, Atreus, King of Mycenae, Menelaus strives to conquer his bloodstained heritage through honour and compassion. Thwarted at every turn by his arrogant, power-hungry brother, Agamemnon, he is plunged helplessly into a war not of his making with the mighty empire of Troy. Woven throughout his life are powers beyond his control: an arranged marriage with Helen; Odysseus, the clever mind behind the Trojan Horse; Achilles, a proud Greek warrior loyal only to himself; Paris, stealer of wives; Priam, the wise but naïve King of Troy and his son, Hector, the courageous hero of a doomed kingdom. In her first historical fiction, writer Dey Brownlee cleverly tells the intriguing story of a young boy destined to be the one man who can unite all of ancient Greece.
