They were warned by their father to watch out for whaling boats, which they had a close call with. They passed by many sailing boats, ships, and bays. They also went past Botany Bay, and they rested at Bondi, close to the beach where the people were in awe of their breaches out of the water. They rested there before they moved on.

The doctor managed to dislodge the leaves and drove Hippity Hoppity and the exhausted girls back to where the girls first found him. When they arrived, they noticed two red kangaroos eating from the same tree. They must have seen the girls feeding Hippity Hoppity with its branches and tried them for themselves.This is the lesson from this story: do not feed wild animals.
