Envoi: An Author's Concluding Thought Tides of Love: I wish for our eyes to kiss, for the soul reflects deep tunes / Silently savoring that stare, even the ocean reflects the moon /Your beam would ablaze my eyes, like dancing, rippled moonlight, bestrewn / For that is what we are-I the ocean, and you the moon. The Heart & The Harp: The heart is a harp, strumming sinews to its tunes / The harp is a heart, beating vibrations to its muse / When we choose to love ourselves, we learn to accept our flaws / For all that matters is what is not that which was. Free yourself to begin anew, life is full of compositional stages / Orchestrate your own symphony, flip to those next pages / There's no wrong if you're trying, even if you are offbeat / For we dance to our own music, penned from our musical sheets. No door is permanent, for the heart is a key to the sage / No foundation is permanent, you merely need love to repave / There will always be an audience, since life is the play offstage / So be the speckled songbird, escape your circular cage. Perched Ponderings: Gazing from this perch, does reflection give life pulse? / Just as the leafless trees, I know who I was once / I've lived many different lives with many different breathes / I've played lover, fool, and brother, and each day bleeds to the next / And when my present seems to shatter, I reach for my bag of pasts / latching onto anything, afraid to begin the next Act. Tasting, savoring, reminiscing, I've enchanted these wordy stanzas / Yet carried by the whims of life, I'm only a poet drunk on nostalgia.
