Adapted from the novel Respectfully Yours, Hazel, this heartwarming story is brought into a new life for the dramatic theater. The story follows the characters Kai and Hazel, as they grow up and fully understand true friendship (however hidden), romantic love, and what it takes to fully love ourselves in the face of anxiety or people-pleasing damaging behaviors. These two students - a bulimic wrestler and a severely socially-anxious "weirdo" - save each other from drowning in their own separate struggles. Taking place in the far north region of Minnesota, during the lumber industry boom of the 1980s, this theatrical production is full of comedic moments, lovely nostalgia of a time long gone, and is bound to induce tears of both heartbreak and happiness.

Two strangers wake up in an underground bunker with no memory of where they are, how they got there, or anything about themselves. With no personal identification, no way to contact the outside world, and no one else to ask, they only have each other. To add to their torment, there is no way out, and their food supply is very limited. When their memories start coming back little by little with each passing day, and the urgency to get out before they starve to death increases, the strangers must piece together clues from their own recovered memories to get out of their cage. But, their captors have thought ahead, and their imprisonment is more complex than either of them imagined.
