After being a pastor, evangelist, missionary, teacher, and director of Bible Schools, I have some definite, clear opinions on doctrine in the local church and the individual believer. Any church body that rejects doctrine as the basis of fellowshipping is building a congregation on a foundation that will cause the local church body to crumble. Any church body that has no certain acceptable beliefs will shortly have deception and false doctrine as its daily companion. (Gal 5:9) A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Such is false doctrine. Any church body where the members do not have the defense of doctrinal truth will soon have false doctrine pervasive in their church. THE CHURCH MUST TEACH DOCTRINE (1Ti 4:13) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. (2Ti 3:16) All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2Ti 4:2) Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. OR EVERY MEMBER WILL ESTABLISH DOCTRINE IN THEIR OWNSELF. After a lifetime of over 60 years teaching the church, I have seen the result of failure to establish the church body, corporately and individually in doctrine. I present to you twenty-five doctrinal positions that I came to in my personal life. This is not all there are, but I had to stop somewhere. I will complete the list, God willing, if He grants me the time, for now this will suffice. In this book I both lay out what I came to as a settled place in God with each of these truths until there was no doubt, only a certainty as these scriptural truths and their dependability and spiritual anointing. I commend these points of belief to you. I believe them, so should you.

To walk through the forty day time span in the Scriptures which covers most of "The Post-Resurrection Appearances of Christ" is to walk with one foot in this world and the other foot in the world to come. The body that Jesus is now in is the resurrected body in the flesh that every believer is encouraged to see as the image of their own bodily resurrection.(1John 3:2) Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.As you walk through these forty days after His resurrection, you should view them from the standpoint of Jesus opening the understanding of the individual believer in Christ to insights of things that belong to them, with the expectation that we can presently see a portion of our inheritance.

To those who have believed on Christ for salvation can enter the Book of Ephesians with eyes that see differently than others. They alone will see the glories that await them in glory and are present-tense reality in this present world. The Scriptures say:  (1Co 2:9)  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.As you walk through the pages of Ephesians ,you are entering the final portion of this Scripture :BUT--(1Co 2:10)  But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.It is this revelation of Christ and His glory that the Book of Ephesians lays before the believer: The Inheritance of the Saints.

There is one fundamental truth throughout the Scriptures: God is a jealous God. He will not accept divided loyalties.(1Ki 18:21) And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. When Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well, he pointed out that the Samaritan people did not know who they worshipped.(Joh 4:22) Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. They worshipped many gods and among them was Jehovah. This was unacceptable. The glory of God as revealed throughout the Scriptures show God does not share His glory with any other god or man. The God of the scriptures is either everything or He will not accept any worship. (1Co 15:28) And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. The major point of the glory of Christ is that He is Himself, the Creator of all truth, revelation, creation, and worship.

At the advanced age of 76, I lay before the reader what little insight I have received into my times. (Matthew 16:3) And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? I make no claims to inspiration, except that which is available to every believer in Christ. (Luke 16:29) Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. Two major prophecies finding a very real fulfillment in our day during this most important year in the last 2,000 years, I leave it to you, the reader, to ponder the weight this year should carry in your own mind This generation has had the greatest witness and has been given the greatest of signs. I have come to the place that I count my educational experience to not be of any value; only the pure Word of God and His Precious Holy Spirit.

I present these sermons to be different from what you have seen before. Of the thousands of times I have preached, some were so different that they could not be of the same level, so I separated them over the years. I do not mean they were the most exciting to hear, I mean that they were the most profound as to the scripture of truth. I was often stunned by the truth that I had stumbled upon. I present them to you, hoping that you, too, can see what I saw and convey that truth to your hearers. The result will be a gasp from your congregation and a joy in your spirit that you had given something that your people would not soon forget. This collection of sermons are some of what I call the greatest I have ever preached out of 7500, these are the first 79 that made me stop and look again at what I had found. May you do so as well. You can add to them insights from your own experience and studies and make them yours. I would ask of you that use them this one thing: do not give me credit for having wrote them because in truth, I have received so much if not all I preach from those that I listened to and read over the years. I cannot remember all the names of those that I owe so much. In truth, maybe I did not receive one thing on my own. You must judge them for yourselves.

Every group that declares Christ to be their ruler and leader sees Christ Jesus in a slightly different light. Sometimes it is the Christ of historical Christianity or to concepts taken from a variety of sources. My purpose in writing this book is not to inspire hate, distrust, or rejection but rather to open your eyes that you may evaluate who is the Christ that you follow. After returning from three years in Western Samoa as director of a Missionary Training Center, I realized the great need among my students. I had greatly desired to write this book on insights during the Church Age that my students could easily grasp one point at a time. The sickness that I carried home would weaken me to the point that I could only have strength for a few hours a day; yet it would not be my strength that would fail me; rather the magnitude of a book on such a subject. More than one time I dropped my pen from my hand as I staggered in unbelief that the task I had taken on was more than I had the ability to complete. As you read these pages, you will walk with us in the life we lived over a fifty year period. Only those times when we knew that the Holy Spirit had dealt with us, spoken to us, or sent an angel are included. We knew that He had always been with us since the word says: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matt. 28:20). These were the times when God seemingly intervened in our life in a manner that made us to know that His presence and power were with us through every struggle of life. We lived a life of prayer, fasting, reading the Scriptures, and receiving help and deliverance from angelic ministry. Our lives may seem extraordinary to any reader who reads these experiences, yet what we lived and experienced was only what the ordinary Christian who seeks after God will experience.

The great doctrines of the Christian faith are here in a page or two so pastors and teachers of third world countries will be able to grasp and comprehend the great doctrines of the Christian faith. Each of the twelve major doctrines will be cut up into easily digestible parts. Most of these will apply to any Christian Church. If they are controversial I have tried to point that out as to who accepted or rejected that stand and why. If the reader faces a doctrine they do not understand or do not believe based on their church background, I have encouraged them to put it aside and go on to grasp the totality of the concept. You will soon realize that you indeed grasp the total doctrine, with almost 400 points of doctrine cut into small parts of the twelve major Christian doctrines. My own background of Baptist and Spirit-filled movement of course affected my writing and I have tried to make it clear when it did so.
