In this book I have examined thirty points of God ending prophesies of a coming event and then begins a new thing in the New Testament. Not always are these points clearly seen in the church. One that is not clearly seen but when pointed out, it becomes obvious: Leprosy. In the Old Testament, Naaman the Syrian, the four lepers at the gate of Samaria, the instructions for the offerings of the cleansing of a leper in Leviticus, and other places pointed to leprosy, but no leper was ever cleansed that was an Israelite. These places did not seem to be a prophecy, until Jesus healed leprosy and told them to go show themselves to the priests and offer the gift Moses required as a witness. And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13. And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. (Luk 17:12-14) Literally, every leper pointed to Him who was coming to heal and deliver from leprosy. Then Jesus came, and thereafter He has been healing the leprosy of sin ever since through the gospel message. So also, are the twenty-nine others. In total, there are one hundred, yet the book had to end at thirty. The next 70 may be given to you, the reader, to write and thereby finish this work that I have begun. The title of this book says it all: "A New Thing."

No amount of background can prepare a person to write a book on "The Power of God". This subject requires more than acquired knowledge. I have approached it from the starting point that the Scriptures as we have them are true and without error: (Mark 12:24) And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God? That no outside source, other than the Scriptures, is needed to substantiate this truth. (John 5:39) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (John 10:35) If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; I therefore submit to you the reader that the Old and New Testaments bring us the revelation of God in Christ Jesus. (John 1:1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I give no apologies for believing the Scriptures to be divinely inspired and without error.

I write this account of our time in Western Samoa from a spiritual standpoint; not after the natural. Who am I to have been a participant in this great move of God and after all other great moves of God took place in other eras before I was even born? I did not even know there was a move of God taking place in Samoa until after I arrived. If I did not just happen upon it (and I know I did not) then I must have been prepared before I came. Below is what I look back as my preparation: First, I was called to preach at 19 years of age and I said, "Yes" and began to earnestly obey this call. Second, I heard and studied the writings of men and women in my generation as they preached and taught such as A. A. Allen: a miracle and healing evangelist. I attended his tent revivals and read his books and monthly publications. I saw and read of the miracles of his ministry. I listened intently to Billy Graham who preached the salvation message to the world. I cried to God that I would be allowed to preach like him. I drove for miles to attend Soul's Harbor with W.V. Grant. I grew as I went to their camp meetings. I saw the miracles of healing; in one service more than 10 people with one or more deaf ears were suddenly opened. I followed Kathryn Kuhlman by radio and television as she walked in the miraculous. One by one of these known and unknown ministries crossed my life and left something in me that made me able to receive this great move of God. I have left out the years of schooling and degrees because all too often these years of learning are barriers to receiving a move of God like what we saw in Samoa. Religion/Angels/Spiritual Growth - To all believers in Christ who desire to walk in heavenly places where God the Father, the Christ, the Holy Ghost, and angels dwell. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (1 John 5:7) I add nothing to the subject, yet I have an intense certainty that angels are a normal part of the Christian experience to those who walk in the Spirit. In my own life and ministry of over 56 years, I have found that angels are an ordinary part of my Christian walk. I believe each believer who seriously follows Christ should expect the same personal experience. As you read this book expect God to respond to your faith and send angels to help you. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? (Hebrews 1:14)

Deliverance Ministry. . . The greatest textbook about delivering men from demonic power is the Scriptures, primarily Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I point you to those men and women who have received a special anointing in this area to read their writings such as Frank Hammond's "Pigs in the Parlor." You will find others if you wish; however, the first answer to a Deliverance Ministry is to do what Jesus did in the gospels. As you read this book you will soon see that I have stayed on a narrow truth in each of them but sufficient for the title I address. Turn to the Scriptures for the final answer to any question. I have over the years come to the conclusion that the Deliverance Ministry is in truth a "Miracle Ministry." As you read my book you will see why. I entered the ministry from my first early days and found myself confronted by demon spirits that required they be dealt with and so we learned: 1st: Use the name of Jesus and the demons could not stand. 2nd: Be bold in casting out demons. 3rd: Miracles and healing took place when demons were cast out.
