Grief. It's a powerful thing that can turn anyone into a monster. Even if they were one before the feeling struck them. Voltics have always been viewed as monsters for feasting on the blood of all. But once struck with grief, the King of Keytalen, Barrett, turned into something he considered much darker than evil. He blamed the Fawnies for the death of his father and mother and sought revenge against their queen. Almost a century after the Fawnie Queen's death, rebel groups that were created under her are creating havoc throughout the kingdom. As rumors spread about the rebel leader being nearby during a current attack, Barrett takes off in search to finally end the war. But with no leader in sight, he finds himself waking up in an isolated cottage with the most beautiful Fawnie. Struck with conflicting feelings for Hazel, Barrett must decide one thing. Is the Fawnie a friend or a foe?

Dear me, These are a collection of poems that are written for younger selves. Lessons and words I wished I would have been told growing up. Poems about friendships, death, loss, mental health, and recovery. Whether they were things that should have been shared for a child version of myself or the me from yesterday, these poems are meant for those of all ages.

These poems were written as a challenge for 90 days to heal from the things life was throwing at me. I found that even in times where I felt broken I was still healing even when I couldn't see it in the moment. I hope that whoever is reading this that if you are struggling with feeling broken you are reminded of this. You are broken but you are healing.
