Terror for Now is Book 12 in the continuing struggle of the Mud Island Family against the Infected Dead. Chief Barnes is the leader of a band of survivors, and he is convinced that the US military must have made a stand against the infected dead somewhere. He and his trusted friends embark on an expedition across the continent to Alaska, searching for more survivors from the infection that reduced the population to near extinction. Their travels take them to the Aleutian Islands, where they discover more than they expected. The world has had years to change. The survivors of the apocalypse, known as the Mud Island Family, embark on a journey across the United States in search of a network of supply silos left behind by the Air Force. Their journey takes them to the vast missile fields of Wyoming where the United States Air Force has left behind more than what they expected to find. The Chief, Kathy, Cassandra, and Captain Miller make friends and enemies as they confront new horrors in the world of the infected dead.
