It was similar to having a friend from the wrong crowd; every time she smoked a cigarette, she knew it was harmful to her well--‐being and would incur the judgments of others. So, Becky Cantrell decided to bargain with Jesus, asking Him to do anything to stop her addiction to smoking. Her journey to smoking cessation is captured in her autobiography, Smokin' Hot Christian, along with the various ways Becky saw God in the midst of trials. Having grown up in the Baptist church, she was familiar with having a relationship with God through Jesus, but Becky realized the importance of this relationship as circumstances became difficult for her. From her young daughter's tragic death in a car accident to her husband's sudden passing to handling health issues from smoking, Becky sought Jesus in prayer and felt 1 Corinthians 10:13, God's solutions for temptations, being proven true in her life.
