Movement Notation is considered the first publication of the "Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation" (EWMN), developed by Noa Eshkol and Abraham Wachmann. With this polyphonic notation system, Eshkol and Wachmann centered dance on its basic element: the movement of the human body. They treated the different parts of the body as separate instruments, similar to the musical instruments of an orchestra - each with its own rules for performing movement. This new edition of the 1958 publication is supplemented with contributions from Eshkol's collaborators and additional archive material, which contextualizes and expands on the genesis of the EWMN and embeds it in contemporary discourses on dance and movement.Ed.: Krist Gruijthuijsen. In den vier Tagen, Anfang Juli jeden Jahres, kommen fast einhunderttausend Menschen aus Ländern quer über den Erdball in der Kleinstadt zusammen und genießen Musik als eine der vielen Gemeinsamkeiten. Länderschwerpunkt im Juli 2023 war Kuba. Dieser kleine Katalog soll einen kurzen Einblick in das Geschehen rund um einen musikalischen Auftritt geben. TONY AVILA und Band stehen hier beispielhaft für viele Künstler:innen aus Kuba und anderen Ländern, die dieses Festival maßgeblich gestaltet haben. Auch Yarima Blanco und Band sowie Eliades Ochao mit Grupo Patria gehörten zu den Höhepunkten des Festivals.Andrea Kähler und ich durften TONY plus Band begleiten und mit den sommerlichen Temperaturen waren wir geistig gemeinsam auf Kuba. He first started seeing images in the clouds in April or May of 2021. His first memory of cloud images were on the football field at Willow Glen High School, home of the Rams. While on a short vacation to Santa Cruz California his son Jonathan pointed out to him a string of clouds that spelled out the word Resurrection. The next day while back home he would photograph the word Holy in the clouds. The next image viewed the same day was the word Blessed. The neighbor girl next door, Maya also saw this in the sky. She is the daughter toJose and Patricia and sister to Leah and Zoe. Their dogs name is Angel and they have witnessed or been shown miraculous images in the sky over the last two years as well. The Heavens declare the Glory of God! The images represented here are evidence of that.

Even the most amanteur of antomologists will be offended that I have included termites, otherwise known as white ants, under the heading of ants. That is because these creatures are not actually any kind of ant, but their anciant group of insects is most closely related to cockroaches. (Do I hear a united "Yuuuukk?") But let's face it, it is more difficult to make puns with the word 'termite.'

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) is the oldest railroad in the country still operating under its original name. It is the busiest railroad in North America, with 90 million annual riders on 735 trains covering 11 different branches. The Port Washington Branch carries 14 million riders annually and is the third-busiest branch on the LIRR, behind the Port Jefferson Branch (19 million riders) and the Babylon Branch (18 million riders). Port Washington Branch trains converge with the main line just east of Woodside Station. The branch has been electrified since 1913 and is double-track to a point just east of Great Neck Station. The highest bridge on the railroad is the Manhasset Viaduct, which goes over Manhasset Bay. The branch has serviced the 1939 New York World's Fair and the 1964 New York World's Fair as well as the stadium of the New York Mets baseball team. The Whitestone Branch, which was abandoned in 1932, diverted from the Port Washington Branch at a point a bit east of the current Mets-Willets Point station.
